Gyotaku

 FISH          PAULA           GYOTAKU

Gather materials, inspiration, techniques, learn, print and show. (a short film)

Paula has developed a contemporary style of Gyotaku over a 35 year period of practise. Gyotaku is believed to have originated in Japan during the Edo period when fishermen wanted to make a record of their catch. They put ink on the fish then made an impression of the inked fish on paper or cloth.

They are all original editions of 1/1.
